Three missed pickup dates in four days — San Diego to Ithaca

Booked through a broker for a San Diego to Ithaca NY move. GOCARGO LLC was the assigned carrier. Pickup was scheduled and missed three times in four days, and every one of those dates came from the carrier, not from me: - Friday Aug 7 - the carrier's own proposed date. No pickup. - Saturday Aug 8 - I was told 4-6 PM. Late that evening I was told the truck had a PTO hydraulic issue and asked to move to the next morning. - Sunday Aug 9, 9-11 AM - I confirmed this window by text and got a one word "Yes" back. No pickup. I texted from 10 AM through the evening and got "hold on" and "let me have him reach out" with no truck and no ETA for most of the day. I was also quoted 3-4 days for delivery to Ithaca, which is roughly 2,900 miles. Per FMCSA records this carrier is a one truck, one driver operation registered in December 2025. That matters: there is no backup equipment, so one mechanical problem stops your shipment with no recovery path. To be fair, the contact was polite and answered most texts. The problem was not rudeness. It was that the dates kept moving and I had no way to plan around a cross country move.
