Great promises, poor performance

I made arrangements ahead of time because I wanted a specific pick up date (April 22). I was told that was no problem. I asked repeatedly after reading the company suggested material on the web and was assured that the 22nd would be fine. (We left VA on April 23 so I wanted the car picked up ahead of time but no so early that we couldn't be in TX to receive it.) Froland promised a lot: own trucks and drivers, two shipments/week from VA to TX, not a broker, reliable, etc.etc.etc. The bottom line? No pick up April 22 - call to Jim resulted in promise to get the car soon and call back with definite information. Neither happened. April 23 - repeat of April 22 scenario. April 24 - 26 - repeated calls and messages went unanswered, calls not returned. On April 26 I called the van line that moved our furniture and made arrangements to have them transport the car. On April 29 a driver called to say that he was ready to pick up the car. Sorry - job already done! Froland was an extreme disappointment. I certainly wouldn't trust them again.

Well. this is one of those times that mother nature wrecked havoc on everyone. The midwest got nailed with that late season snow storm, the driver, along with many others tried to stay behind the storm as it moved across and this caused huge delays. But they have to do what is safe for them and their cargo. As all of our customers found out everyone was affected by this storm in one way or another.
