Based upon my personal experience, Freight Brokers of America is a company to steer clear of. On or about of April 25, 2015, Freight Brokers of American solicited [via email], to transport my 2007 Mini Cooper, from Tampa Florida to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Freight Brokers of America quoted a price of $700.00. I subsequently confirmed that the amount represented/quoted, by Freight Brokers of America, was the total amount for the transport.

On April 27, 2015, I signed a contract with Freight Brokers of America, wherein I agreed to pay $700.00, with $150.00 to be held by my bank, and released to Freight Brokers of America, upon notification of a driver to pick up my automobile. I complied with all of the terms of the April 27, 2015-written contract. The first available date for pick up was Friday, May 1, 2015. Between April 27, 2015 and May 9, 2015, I awaited for Freight Brokers of America to pick up and deliver my automobile.

On Friday, May 1, 2015, I spoke with a representative [Stephanie-dispatcher] from Freight Brokers of America to inquiry as to the status of the pick up of my automobile. I was informed that she would look in the status, and contact me "within the next 5 minutes". I did not receive a return call. On the morning of Monday, May 4, 2015, I telephoned Freight Brokers of America, and spoke to an individual who identified himself as "Mike". I explained the situation- request for status of pick up and delivery, and my Friday, May 1, 2015-telephone conversation with Stephanie. Mike stated that he would look into the matter and return my call.

That evening I received an email from Mr. Jeff Ray. At that time no pick up or delivery time table was provided. During the week of May 4, 2015, several email exchanges were made between myself and Mr. Ray, regarding the delivery of my automobile, and need that Freight Brokers of America comply with the terms of the April 27, 2015-contract. Mr. Ray, on behalf of Freight Brokers of America, advised that no contract existed; as they had not received any money, and that it would cost more to have my automobile transported. I informed Mr. Ray that it was my position that Freight Brokers of America honor the terms of the April 27, 2015-contract, and deliver my automobile, for the price agreed upon. In response, Mr. Ray proposed that I pay between $1,000-$1,300.00 [approximately 30%-50% more] in order for my automobile to be transported. Again, I insisted that Freight Brokers of America honor the contractual agreement. Freight Brokers of America refused, and on Saturday, May 8, 2015, Freight Brokers of America [Jeff Ray] send emails, advising that my order had been cancelled, and that Freight Brokers of America would not take any action to honor the April 27, 2015-contract. Based upon Freight Brokers of America business practice, almost two weeks after entering into a contract for transport, I am required to make other transport arrangements.

As noted above, based upon my experience, Freight Brokers of America is not an honorable or profession business to be trusted. It is my opinion that Freight Brokers of America engages in unfair and deception business practice. Based upon my communications, with Freight Brokers of America, I do not believe, from the inception, that the company ever had the intent to transport my automobile for the $700.00 price quoted. It is my information and belief, that Freight Broker of America, intended to engage in misrepresentation, at the time that the initial quote was made, in order to secure my business, with the intention to extort additional monies.

In summary, in my opinion Freight Brokers of America is a sham of a business. Under no circumstance would I recommend, and in fact, would discourage, anyone from entering into any business transaction with Freight Brokers of America. In my experiences, I have never dealt with a business of such low, or, non-existent business practice or ethics.

Please note, the above is not a rant. I have emails, to and from, and the signed April 27, 2015-contract, which support what I have stated in this review.
