Failure to honor contract

-I was provided a quote and sent in the deposit as directed.
-A carrier was assigned and I sent a cashiers check in the name of the carrier to the destination.
-I was contacted the next day by the company and told the carrier was canceled due to mechanical reasons and I would be assigned another carrier.
-I sent them an email and explained that I had already Fedex the cashiers check out and it would cost us additional money and resources to recover the check and that we should receive compensation.
-We received a "that's too bad" email full of attitude. The reason for the change was now "it was in an accident"
-I sent them an email asking them to honor the contract and transport the vehicle as they agreed.
-I received an email saying they will not.... stating that they are refunding my deposit and they would give us a "referral"

As a result of their poor customer service and refusal to honor the contract-
We are now delayed 10 days at cost to us
We have to begin the process all over again with another company.
We have expended funds and have received no compensation
We were essentially told to "beat it" by the owner.

It is my opinion the company was disingenuous and rude. I would not recommend this company under any circumstances. I'm sure many customers have had excellent experiences with them...and I selected them because of their high ratings and not their price....but this was my experience...and it was unsatisfactory and disrespectful. Consumers have a choice...choose someone else.

The customer was assigned a carrier exactly as our contract with him stipulated. One day prior to his pickup, the carrier had been broadsided by a passenger vehicle causing extensive damage to the frame of the trailer. That is why our initial email to him was mechanical. We responded in timely manner that we could not help him with our own carrier but I had located a network carrier that would honor the amount we agreed upon. The only flaw was it would be ONE day later than we had initially agreed upon. That was not satisfactory for the customer and he became irate with us. We responded politely that highway accidents is something beyond our control and his vehicle would still be picked up at the amount agreed upon only one day later. Our reviews display our high degree of commitment and professionalism and we regret that uncontrolled circumstances like this had inconvenienced this particular customer.
