We booked a transport from Austin TX to Santa Barbara CA for an August 14 outbound and a Sept 15 return. To book we were required to provide a deposit for each leg. The sales rep for Forsee Shipping was unexpectantly persistent to get us to book and provide the deposits. The agreement provided that we could cancel if outside of 7 days from the transport and receive our deposit, less a $100 cancellation fee.
When the date of our outbound transport arrived. the driver did not show up. Eventually we received word from Forsee that there was a delay. They provided multiple and sometimes conflicting reasons for the delay which was expected to be up to 2 days. As the later date approached, we contacted Forsee and their representative Muhammad Fozan. We did not receive a response until the next day and it did not provide much. Because we had specific times for delivery and pickup that could change a day or two but not be delayed indefinitely and because Muhammad was now indicating that it might cost more, we cancelled.
Because we cancelled within 7 days of the outbound, we knew we would lose money on that leg. But we cancelled the return transport over 30 days out. We should have received a return of a $400 deposit less $100 for the cancellation fee. Muhammad has continued to delay the refund by requesting more information about the cancellation which he would then send to "Compliance" to review the reasons and see if they had merit.
When we responded that there was no requirement for cancellation only for specified reasons and asked Muhammad to send our money, he has stopped responding (3 weeks now) even though we have contacted him multiple times.
It is clear that we learned our lesson with Forsee Shipping and want to warn all potential customers to avoid the company, especially Muhammad Fozan. They are beyond persistent in getting an order booked and then totally non-responsive when they do not produce. The amount we lost is minor so we do not intend to confront them any longer. But we do want to warn others. Stay away from Forsee Shipping
