This is an update to the below review dated 06/02/2014:
On May 30, 2014 I received a notification that my review of Fleet Express Auto Transport had been removed from this site. The reason was that Fleet denied that I was ever a customer. I demonstrated the required proof to get the below review reposted.

Also, an operating officer with Fleet, Gary Lugar, contacted me on Friday and told me that my deposit of $175 would be returned to me and that he wanted to mend the bad relations. After quoting $800 as the new fee ($125 more than quote I contracted for) I told him that our business was over. He requested that I remove the post on transport review. I said I would consider.
After my post was removed based on a lie, I contacted Gary Lugar and he told me that I would not get my deposit back and there was nothing I could do. Barry Wilson called me and told me to "Let it go. You're a loser!" and "You have no leg to stand on".

See original complaint if you need more details. Just STAY AWAY FROM FLEET EXPRESS AUTO!!!

Original post:
On/about 12 MAY 2014, I contacted Rich Kelly about moving my vehicle to Virginia fromTexas. He assured me the the vehicle would be picked up on 22 May. I signed the contract emailed to me and provided my credit card info for a $175 deposit.
From 20-21 May I attempted to contact Rich to verify pick up time/date. He sent me a text message late in the day on 21 May stating that the driver would be there by 3:30 on 22 May. On 22 May the driver did not show and there was no response to my calls or emails
On 23 May I informed Rich through email and text that I would contact my credit card company and let them know that I was misled and stolen from. Barry Wilson called me shortly after with a story of their driver was beaten by an irrate customer and was hospitalized and that the transport vehicle that was sent to pick up my vehicle was impounded. He guarnanteed me that I would hear from him by the 24th or 25th with a pick up date and that Rich would adjust the rate for shipping my vehicle. No one returned my calls and texts until 27 May.
On 27 May Rich sent me a text telling me to contact the driver directly. I responded that it was his job to coordinate and to call me and that I had still not been told what the reduced rate would be as was guaranteed by Barry. By this point i was very upset and began referring to him as the 'thief' and 'coward' that hides behind text messages and voice mails.
I spoke to the driver on the evening of 27 May. He said he would pick up the vehicle by 11:00 on 28 May. The driver later texted me that Rich had told him that I cancelled the pick up. This was a lie. The driver, Kip, told me that if I paid him the agreed upon rate at deliver, he would still pick up my car.
Needless to say, it's 29 May, my family has relocated and I still have a vehicle in Texas. Further, a friend took the day off to support me in getting the vehicle to the transport driver.

Barry told me on 28 May not to call him back. I am Rich's client not his. I beg to differ. He called me, made promises, therefore he accepted responsibility.

I have contacted my credit card company and reported this unprofessional and irresponsible circus for fraud. I have contacted my company's lawyer to seek advice on a civil suit and will contact the department of transportation to complain about these jokers that the DOT provided license to.

Stay away from these thieves. You will lose in the long run.
