BEWARE - CARRIER LIED - BAIT AND SWITCH

I contacted Five Star Auto Transport on August 24, 2013, and was told that my vehicle would be picked up on Tuesday August 27, 2013. They initially quoted me $750.00 (including a $100 deposit) to transport my vehicle from Florida to Arizona. After agreeing to the price and paying the deposit, I was contacted shortly after by the manager Jaime Bolano, who stated that THE AGENT "UNDERQUOTED" ME, and that THE PRICE WOULD ACTUALLY BE $850.00. I was initially resistant, but was in a jam and needed my vehicle picked up and transported ASAP. LUCAS TRANSPORTATION was the carrier that Five Star subcontracted the job to. LUCAS TRASPORTATION REPEATEADLY MISLED MY MOTHER (whose house my car was located) BY TELLING HER THEY WOULD "DEFINETELY" be there at certain times, THEN WOULD CALL HER AND TELL HER IT WOULD BE LATER, THEN THE NEXT MORNING, THEN THAT NEXT EVENING, THEN THE NEXT DAY, and THE NEXT. When I found out about this I contacted Jaime by telephone and email, and he stated that he would find out what was going on and that they were "NOT AWARE" about what was going on and that there was a delay (where's the follow-up??). Jaime called back and informed me that he was mad that the owner of Lucas Transportation was ignoring his repeated calls. I told him that I did not want to do business with a company like Lucas Transportation because they were playing games and I therefore did not trust them to transport my car. It gets better.... So, I called the owner of Lucas Transportation and questioned him as to why he continued to change the time of the pick-up, and then kept delaying repeatedly over several days while wasting my mother's time.

THE OWNER OF LUCAS TRANSPORTATION THEN TOLD ME THAT "MY MOTHER WAS LIEING TO ME." I could not believe this, and promptly said a few words to him and hung up the phone. I called and emailed Jaime and told him about what the owner of Lucas had said and that I did not want them picking up my car, and that I no longer requested their services.

FIVE STAR AUTO TRANSPORT HAS STILL NOT REFUNDED MY DEPOSIT THAT I REQUESTED (DUE TO THEIR NON-PERFORMANCE), and now I have to dispute the charge with my credit card company.

I WILL BE FILING MULTIPLE COMPALAINTS WITH EVERY STATE, LOCAL, and FEDERAL AGENCY as possible, including ALL ORGANIZATIONS THAT DEAL IN/REPRESENT THIS INDUSTRY.

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY AND LUCAS TRANSPORTATION.
