First Class Auto Transportation LLC contracted VLS to transport two classic cars to the Russo Steele auction in Scottsdale, AZ. One car has a racing engine in it. The driver could not drive a stick shift vehicle and knew nothing about classic cars. He backed the car out en-route to load another car in front of it. He left the car idle and overheated the transmission fluid. When he tried to put the car back on the carrier he damaged the transmission. After many calls it was decided he would bring the car back and take a different car. Our shop had to work all night long to rebuild the transmission and drive straight through without stopping to haul the car to Scottsdale on time. Upon arrival in Scottsdale of the two classic cars VLS was transporting there was major damage caused by the driver walking around the cars inside the hauler with metal on his jacket scratching the finish, the canvas cover flapping against the sides of the cars, fluids from cars above dripping down on the tops, etc. VLS insurance refused to pay for the damage. This VLS driver is totally unqualified to transport classic cars.
