I move across nation two times this year, thus I have quite some experience with moving companies and auto transport companies.
I have to say, this by far is the most pleasant experience I had!!!
I have to be very clear that I did not get any rebate or money for writing this review. Some companies does do that, the Magic Carpet Auto Transport, which has the highest review on this website, DID give their customer $50 rebate for writing review.
I am writing it because I feel like I owe it to the company about this. They have done such a wonderful job for me.
I called quite ahead for several quotes and First Class Transport gave me a quote of $950 from Josh. It was not the highest, neither was it the lowest. Later I got hung up by work and packing and totally forgot about it. I started to call all the companies that gave me quote, they either say, oh it's been a while i need to raise the price, or the pick-up date is not guarantee unless you pay $$$ extra.
When I called Josh, he is very friendly and told me sometimes they cannot guarantee an exact date but a 3 day window can be provided. So he asked my very last day for pick up and help me decide a date on the quote. I asked will you raise your price, he first said it's possible and get back to me on a $1025. It still was not bad so I was thinking about taking it. Then he said he would ask his manager to see if he can lower it back to what he quoted me. AND HE DID!!!
It looks like they just took a lower deposit to keep my price the same as before. For this I really really thankful. It's not a lot of money, but it shows sincerity.
I was still not very sure about it though, being skeptical is just my thing, and from the past I have been asked to give extra money from several moving companies and auto transport companies until the last minute. So I thought maybe they will ask for extra later.
But they DID NOT.
The pick up date came, driver called me, got my car as close as he can to my high rise apartment building, and picked up my car. We watched him locked my car, he was very careful and friendly (although did not speak English quite well, but very very friendly and constantly smiling!!).
And 8 days later, my car arrived in CA, just as it was when it left VA.
Really, my best experience in my exhausted across country move. Worried free, on time, and reasonable priced.
