My service experience with Fidelity Auto Shipping as the broker and Transpex, Inc as the carrier was exceptional in every way. Priscilla, the woman I dealt with before contracting with Fidelity Shipping, was very attentive to my many questions and a pleasure to work with. The price she gave me was also the cheapest! I know those aren’t the best reasons for choosing a contractor, but the personal contact with someone so helpful made my decision. The reviews on some of these websites weren’t all that good but I suspect in a competitive industry such as this some of the reviews weren’t actual customers. Although their website wasn’t impressive, their service turned out to be top-notch reflecting a company that is rightfully focused on exceptional service rather than style. Priscilla offered a lower price if I was willing to transport on a stand-by basis during a 2-week window with a short advance notice (3 hrs max) for pick up. There was no guarantee, but it was good to try since I had some flexibility on delivery dates. The Fidelity Auto Shipping people called and emailed daily. They were so nice all the way through even when I was showing impatience and expressing dissatisfaction. I was a bit skeptical based on some reviews for this industry as a whole. At the end of the 2 weeks, we didn’t get any offers, but Fidelity did find a carrier that would transport the car for $200 more than the reduced stand-by rate we tried. That was fine. It brought me to the price most of these carriers offered which was still half the price of direct transporters. The carrier, Transpex Inc, picked my car up as agreed and the driver, Jacob, who owns the company, was incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I even asked him to give my son a hug from me when he dropped the car off. He remembered to tell him too! We all had a few laughs. Jacob was awesome! In the end, I paid $1050 to transport my car from Massachusetts to Tennessee. A fair price. I’d highly recommend Fidelity Auto Shipping and Transpex Inc.
