Overall, an extremely positive experience. I used Transport Reviews and Hemmings Motor News to narrow down and select my carrier. I contacted approximately seven carriers, from large companies to independents. The quotes received ranged from 850 to 2160, with a mixture of open and enclosed transport. Since I was shipping a large (6500 lb) open antique military vehicle in unrestored, original condition, enclosed transport was important to me. FedEx Passport was chosen largely because of the high quality of their equipment and the reviews were decent. Their quote was the second lowest I received and I had trouble believing it was correct (it was). I worked with Chris Branneky at the main FedEx Passport office in Missouri (I believe). She was friendly, helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Chris gave us a ten day window for pickup in MI. Pickup occurred around day eight, without any issues. Chris kept us informed on approximate arrival time in Virginia. The driver, Gary Cole, contacted us approximately a day and a half later to arrange delivery. Delivery also occurred without incident. We specified a location not far from our rural home and met Gary there. Gary was pleasant to work with, unloading the vehicle within a very short period and offering any other assistance we might need. I was extremely impressed with the high quality of the FedEx Passport trailer. The vehicles inside were covered with plastic and very professionally loaded. In my opinion, this was absolutely outstanding value for the money. Chris and Gary were great to work with. I will definitely use this company again.
