I (and my family) have used Passport Transport (now FedEx) numerous times since 1997. The most recent was the summer of 2007 while shipping a fully restored Series Land Rover for a client of mine.

In the past we've moved several Audis and Porsches with FedEx/Passport and they have been excellent to deal with. I'm at the point now where I don't really bother shopping for other enclosed carriers because FedEx/Passport has been consistently good and competitively priced when I have shopped other carriers.

On the most recent move (vintage Rover) Ron Cooper, the driver for FedEx, knew the customer was anxious for the Rover in time for a 4th of July parade in his small Michigan resort town. Much to our amazement, Ron got it there a day before he told us it would arrive there. Needless to say, the customer was more than a little thrilled to have it early and I was once again impressed by their level of service.

I dealt with an enclosed Massachusetts based carrier when shipping a Porsche 928 S4 to my location several years ago and one of the first comments the driver made to me about my car was a remark inquiring if I was keeping it for myself or "dumping it for a fast buck because the cars can be nightmares". Wow, thanks for the vote of confidence there Mr. Driver! Needless to say, I will never again give that company $1600 of my dollars. The driver wasn't the friendliest by any stretch of the imagination.

I know it will sound a bit cliche, but so far all of the Passport drivers I have dealt with have been very friendly enthusiasts and they have taken extra care when loading and unloading the vehicles. Again, your experience may vary, but I'd use them without hesitation in the future... and I am sure I will.
