On the 19th of August I contacted a Transport Company Locator called Cosmos Auto Transport. I requested and received a quote to move my 2007 Cadillac CTS from Gloucester, VA to Alamogordo New Mexico. The quote provided for this service was 690.00. The mode of transport was a two deck multiple car "open" trailer. Cosmos subcontracted my requirement to move the CTS via F & S Auto Carriers, based out of Tucson, AZ. Mailing address is 9420 E. Golf Links Rd.
PMD 301, Tucson, AZ 85730. If you value your vehicles as I do, please "DO NOT USE" F & S Auto carriers. I've never been forced to transport a car before so I had no idea there would be absolutely NO CARE given what so ever to delivery of my vehicle in the same condition it was in when picked up. A picture is always worth a thousand words and I'll be happy to send before and after pictures of my CTS to anyone who is considering utilizing the services of F & S auto carriers. Thank goodness I took multiple pictures of my car prior to pick up. The contract I'd made with Cosmos was supposed to provide a carrier for pick-up of this vehicle on the 4th of September. In fact, the car wasn't picked up until 14 days later. After the car was picked up in VA it took F & S Auto Carriers 8 days to deliver the CTS to Alamogodo, NM. My wife and I met the driver at a Wal Mart parking lot. *NOTE* This car was my wife's Birthday present after she lived through open heart surgery in 2007. When we saw the car we could not believe our eyes. The CTS was washed and waxed prior to F & S picking up the car. My wife began crying at the sight of her car and I was absolutely enraged to say the least. The car was "SO Filthy" that we couldn't even drive the vehicle until we washed the front windows. There was an "OIL SLICK" on top of the hood of the car. It looked like someone had thrown a 5 gallon bucket of mud on the hood, then threw another 5 gallon bucket of Oil on top of that. It was sickening. The driver was beyond arrogant and when I asked him if he would be pleased if his vehicle was delivered to him in this condition he was quick to show me the back of his order form that stated they are not held responsible for the cleanliness of the vehicles they transport. After we washed the front windows we drove the CTS directly to a pressure wash location. When we got all the filth off the car we immediately noted a new dent in the top of the car approximately 1/8 inch in depth and a width of 6 inches running into the seal for the sun roof. There was a second dent on the left front side of the hood approximately 1/16 to 1/8th of an inch in depth and the width of a nickel. My wife called the driver immediately upon finding this damage. The driver refused to meet with us so that he could see the damage for himself. I expect the damage done to this car is will require 2500 to 3000 to repair. We have not been able to file a claim with F & S Auto Carriers at this point because the car was delivered on the weekend. I can only hope that the company will support the repair work required to bring this car back to it's "ORIGINAL Condition".

We are working to pay this claim, the wife and I have been working together and she understands it will take a little bit of time to get the claim paid, but she is aware the driver is trying to pay this claim for the damage to the roof of their CTS.
