Express Auto transport was my lowest quote. I had read several reveiws stating that they were not very quick to dispatch, but i was in no hurry to receive the car so i decided it would be worth it to save some money. I paid the entire amount upfront with a credit card which i think may have reduced their incentive to quickly dispatch and deliver my vehicle. They called me once to say that they had found someone who would pick up my car the next day and delivery two days later if i would pay $150 more. I declined and felt concerned that they had underbid to win the business and would have a difficult time dispatching the vehicle move. A truck assignment was finally made 9 days after my ready date but the *estimated* pick up day came and went without a word from anyone....not the driver, not express auto transport, etc. The driver isn't expected to call until he is 12-24 hours from pick up but i would expect express auto to let me know that my estimated pick up date has changed. The car was actually picked up 17 days past our ready date. Our delivery was subcontracted to Admiral Merchants of Ohio and despite several mechanical issues with the truck, their driver was great to work with. He was courteous, honest and always answered his phone. In my opinion there are a lot of uncertainties (weather, mechanical issues, time to pick up/deliver other vehicles, etc) that plague the entire industry. The most frusterating thing from my perspective was the lack of communication about what was happening and why my car hadn't been picked up. The car arrived in good shape. In the future i may try to contract directly with a trucking company instead of using a broker, but i would consider express auto transport if the quote was low and i had a large window of time.
