Poor information and pick-up time

I was never informed of the "window time" it may take for pick-up. The dealership wanted the car off the lot ASAP (insurance reasons) and Express Auto Transport could not give me a pick-up date and only informed me that it may take a few days for a confirmed date to be given. After reading the reviews on this site and many others, I realized that this "few days" may turn into a few weeks or months. Because of this I was not able to risk or allow my new car to sit at the dealership for an unknown time.
Additionally, I called to cancel the order (1day after placing it) and was informed that they would pocket $100 of my $295 deposit. I said ok since that was the policy even though I was not verbally informed, but rather by e-mail AFTER the order was placed. However, I was then informed that the refund would only be sent by check even though the deposit was placed on my credit card. I then told them I would just contact my credit card company to dispute the charge rather then arguing with them about the company's policies and practicies.
BUYER BEWARE, doing busienss with automotive shipping brokers is a time consuming and costly business. You will never be given solid pick-up or drop-off date, nor will you be able to get cost effective service or reliable tracking information. I will now only deal with automotive carriers directly and pay the higher cost to avoid these costly delays.
