Worst customer service I have ever seen!

First off, I have to say... this is the most rude company I have every tried to deal with over the phone (provided they even answer). Everyone is very sharp, non-responsive, and appears to rank talking on the phone with a customer right up there with taking out the trash.

Vehicle p/u was as scheduled. A bright sunny day...

Vehicle was late for delivery. Between driver issues, broke down trucks and some weather (which I don't blame them for) the vehicle was about a week late.

When the vehicle arrived, my brother inspected the vehicle and signed off that is was in good order. I should note, he did most of his inspection from the passenger seat (the truck driver was in the driver seat). After signing the paperwork, the driver departed. Within minutes, my brother noticed something was wrong. As he entered the vehicle to pull it into his driveway he noticed the driver seat was damp. He then went to roll up the window (power windows) and low and behold the window didn't go up. My brother immediately called the driver (no answer, shocker) and then called Mike (the dispatcher in New Jersery). After explaining the issue, Mike instructed my brother to take the vehicle in to a shop for inspection.

(I should note, the delivery day was also bright and sunny...)

Within 20 minutes, the vehicle was at the shop. The mechanic opened the driver's side door and (in his own words) water ran out of the door. The window motor was dead, likely from the water.

So, as requested, my brother calls Mike back and informs him that the motor is dead and he is looking at $400 to fix it. After multiple calls (which span several days, because these people are impossible to get a hold of), Mike reports back that they aren't liable and won't pay for anything.

Why ask us to take the vehicle in, if you are only going to deny our claim?

Mike (on behalf of Exotic Carriers) claims that his driver says the window was down on p/u. Which isn't possible because if the window was down from CAL to MASS (cross country), I can assure you that vehicle would have been VERY dirty/wet inside (it wasn't... only the driver seat). Mike even arranged a pointless 3-way call with the driver, my brother and our stepmother (who handed the vehicle over in the first place) to only find (shocker) that the driver says one thing and the owner says another.

Long story short, we're pondering legal action.. but for $400 we can't determine if it's worth our own effort. Very disappointing experience from this company. It's a valid claim, their excuse and logic doesn't fit the bill. Oh, and the real kicker, according to the weather it rained like crazy in New Jersey the night before final delivery... just wish they would have noticed that window (whom ever left it down) and avoided all of this hassle.
