I called Evergreen Auto Transport on September 26, 2011, spoke with someone named Ashley, I explained to her that I was relocating from California to Texas the first week of November and that it was imperative that my vehicle be picked up no later than November 1st. Ashley told me I had to pay $876.00 up front. I provided my bank account information to her and she sent me an e-mail with my vehicle pick-up and delivery information with an order number. My account was debited immediately. I called Evergreen Transport three days before my scheduled delivery date to confirm that they wouild still be transporting my vehicle and to get an approximate time of pick-up. I called for three straight days and the only response I got from different people was that they were working on it. The third day of my call, I spoke to someone named Dorothy and told her to cancel the order and that I wanted a refund. I received an e-mail from someone named Lorrie confirming that they would send me a full refund, but that it would take 30 days. This was after my requesting at least three times that I get the promise of a refund in writing. After the 30 days were up, I tried calling to get the status of my refund and all I got was voicemail stating their business hours and to leave a message and someone would get back to me. No one returned my call. I sent an e-mail to Lorrie, the person who assured me in writing that I would get my refund. She did not respond, instead I received an e-mail from Evergreen customer service saying they were out of operating funds and was having some kiind of legal problem which is now in the hands of the court. I trusted this company to be reputable and it appears this is not the case. They say they are out of operating funds, but my money was not supposed to be used for their operating purposes. They were paid to provide a service which they did not provide. This business practice is reprehensible. It should be investigated and forced to pay everyone it owes.
