I ordered my car to be picked up in Del Ray Beach, Florida to be delivered to Brooklyn, NY about 6 weeks before the pick up date. I signed the contract with Elite Auto Shipping for $750. I paid a deposit of $200 and the rest to be paid upon delivery. Prior to the pick up date the driver contacted me and wanted to extort some additional money providing some lame excuses, but I did not pay anything. When they brought my car to Brooklyn, it was a different driver and he wouldn't release the car until I gave him $450 more than stated in the contract because "the driving company raised its prices". I called the cops, but the cop said he doesn't deal with civil matters. The driver threatened to take the car to storage and charge me for storage until the matter was settled. I did not want to incur additional costs and be without the car, so I paid the additional $450 to get my car back. It seems that Elite Auto Shipping is in cahoots with the drivers and cheat their customers despite having a contract in place. Be very wary of using them!
