Transport of Classic Camaro

We had purchased restored 1967 Camaro. New metal, paint, convertible top, 454/468 auto 77R. It had been stored in a sealed climate controlled pod for a few years and now needed to be delivered from Delaware to Idaho. Not exactly along the beaten path. I had emailed a dozen or more shipping firms and got quotes from 3,800.00 down to 1,500.00 for an enclosed hauler. We also required it be a clean truck and clean professional drivers well insured with a good record. I only contacted Albert Jones at Elite Auto Shipping and we started out at 1,500.00 for an enclosed trailer. Albert was very thoughtful and had a good sense of humor. He did not pressure me or I would have walked away. We had many emails and phone calls and the search for a hauler began late in the week so with the weekend coming we contacted Albert if he wished to sweeten the pot by a couple hundred. Albert found a top end enclosed truck with two drivers (AG Auto Transport Inc.) that could pick up the Camaro in a couple days. We the authorized Albert to do the deal and he handled everything very well. It took trust on Albert's part because my wife and I had gone fishing for the day and he could not contact us. But when we got back home we got it wrapped up in a few minutes. The Camaro haulers got a great rating from the Camaro seller upon pick up and got to Idaho very quickly. They did show up after dark and we had a bit of time lost trying to connect up out here in the of so he had our permission. Within hours Albert contacted us he had found a first rate hauler with sterling reviews and we gave Albert the go ahead. We did meet up and they (AG Auto Transport Inc.) unloaded the Camaro from the top rack and it was not scratched or damaged or dirty. The lower cars were all wrapped in once used plastic to protect them. They took photos and let us take our time to examine the Camaro. The two drivers were very friendly and professional. My wife baked them a fresh Zucchini bread loaf from our garden and they loved that treat! Anyway the time spent with Albert Jones was probably the easiest part of the entire search for another Classic car and we sure thank him for that. This was not our first Classic to be shipped and again we got a great delivery and we highly recommend Albert Jones and Elite Auto Shipping. But always ask all the questions, get clear answers and be firm about what you expect. I hope this might help some.
