$275 Over Quote and Incorrect Information

I originally booked with Elite Shipping because they were prompt in responding and offered a good price for the quote. I found out after I paid for the deposit that they never posted my request to the driver job board that all trucking and logistics companies have access to, and they were not able to find a driver who was able to transport the car at the originally quoted price of $1075 (the broker took a separate deposit of $100). Instead, the price they negotiated with a random truck driver was $1200, and at this point, I was desperate to get my car shipped, so I reluctantly accepted the new price. The broker also told me I could put items in the car to ship, and in the contract it allowed for 100 pounds. However, the truck driver saw that my trunk and back seat had items in it and said he would charge me an extra $300, which we brought down to $150--also because at this point, we had to ship the car. Don't use these guys. Make sure you work with a legit transport provider that owns the network of carriers and has been around for a long time, not a broker like this one.
