When it was time to transport my new Mercedes from Rhode Island to West Palm Beach I selected East Coast Transport, for additional protection I paid for the enclosed container. When my car arrived in West Palm I found damage to the rear bumper cover which the transport carrier documented & signed in a report. I followed the protocol in getting two estimates for repair, then I had the repairs completed. When I submitted the claim for reimbursement, $3,494.08, East Coast flat out denied the claim. Progressive Insurance, my auto insurer, is now pursuing legal action against East Coast Transport. Besides this, it took over 3 weeks to transport my car, when it finally arrived in West Palm it was so filthy East coast rushed it to a car wash, that’s not all, there was a parking ticket from someplace in Connecticut left on seat for me to pay. My only good experience was dealing with the people in Rhode Island, they where very professional & apologetic.
