It Never Happened

I purchased a vehicle from a dealership in Wayne, NJ and placed a deposit for Duo to find a driver. It NEVER happened. After two weeks of guaranteeing service, I requested a refund. Alex Smith was the representative. He was always friendly and polite until I had to start asking questions about delivery. He has kept me on hold, never to return to the phone. At one point he told me that a carrier was picking up my vehicle. I called the carrier and they said that they don't even travel to my state. When I called Alex back, he got defensive saying that he had personally spoken to the carrier and that the information I received was incorrect. He then promised that the pick-up would happen. Two days later, still no pick-up. Alex has been hiding from me since.

I then spoke to someone who called himself Wesley. He was extremely rude and hung up on me several times when I mentioned that there was a problem. After calling back again and again, I finally got someone who made up excuses about this being a difficult route. That is in no case true. He then agreed to refund my money (although I think it was a rouse to get me off of the phone). In the midst of the back and forth, I requested to speak with the Manager, Katie Williams several times in which I was left on hold once again for more than ten minutes.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They will low-ball you to get you to make a deposit then when they don't deliver, they blame it on you. Also, as with the other negative posters, they will say that I was never a customer. I was a customer, with an active quote and deposit. I can prove via my bank statement that they charged $104 and some odd cents to my credit card.

If you have to put an upfront deposit down on a transport, RUN!!!!

The sad thing is that the dealership I purchased the vehicle from recently began selling to out-of-state customers and would have used them as the broker of choice if this deal went well. I'm glad that they now know the character of this company.


UPDATE!!!
Today is 2/28/2013 and I have still NOT received a refund. I have spoken to them on multiple occassions and each time they promise to send it.
