overcharged and failure to reimburse

David Jenkins, the contact person at Dream Auto Transport, the broker, obviously does not know what a contract is. He quoted me a price of $600 to ship my car from Flushing, New York to Weston, Florida and sent me a shipping invoice to that effect; $100 down as deposit and $500 COD, cash upon delivery. When the shipper picked it up he told my representative $600 COD, changing the terms of the contract after the fact. That is something that has to be worked out between broker and shipper and the price cannot be changed after I put down a $100 deposit and agreed to the $500 figure COD. Needless to say, I was swindled for an extra $100 at the time of delivery and when I contacted David Jenkins, he told me the shipping invoice was not a contract. Then what is it, chopped liver? When I asked for reimbursement, he told me the shipper changed the price. That is between him and the shipper. You do not change the rules of the game after the game has started. That is what Dream Auto Transport did. Do not use Dream, it will be your worst nightmare!
