On it's way...

After reading a variety of reviews on this site I threw my dice into the game and came up with 4 companies who provided email quotes. Based on what I read it was likely that any one of them would have been fine... so why did I go with Domestic Auto Transport?

1) Response time- Casi was in touch from the get-go, by email and by phone. I did get calls from other companies but in one case no follow up, and the others not for 3-4 days - "early worm..." To the company that sends multiple emails politely asking the customer to call them: when folks like me are juggling jobs and home and life the odds of me picking up the phone to call you is unlikely...

2) Not pushy or salespitch calls- I never felt like I was being "sold to" - which would have crossed that company off my list right away; instead Casi heard what I needed - initially time was more critical than price, and she patiently explained how the system works - I am a rookie auto transport customer and an information junkie, so when I say "patient"... !

3) Produced! - Heeding my urgency Casi found a driver who happened to have an almost full truck load heading from Seattle area to Connecticut - what?? how many people are sending vehicles that route... well, anyway, Alex showed up and actually wanted my car "too soon"! before I had even set a deal with Casi... ah... eager driver... very good.

4) Fair- I since learned that I actually had time on the receiving end and was not quite as urgent as I had thought, so I mentioned now I would be interested in a lower price and she could buy a few more days. Casi immediate replied with an offer that appeared quite fair (right in the middle of the various quotes that floated my way), and indeed Alex was still in town and could take my car that day anyway! woo hoo. Although he said he couldn't manage his truck on some of the windy Seattle streets, we did find a meeting spot about 2 miles away... so I needed the exercise anyway.

5) Follow up- Casi (and her colleagues who spot each other during lunch breaks) responded to every call and inquiry and panic that I made. All in all the process was quick and relatively painless.

6) We'll see if this review remains as cheery after the car is delivered! Stay tuned.
