Initially, Tara provided EXCELLENT costumer service. She provided more than enough info (or so I thought IN THE BEGINNING), had follow up calls and emails, she even gave me tips on what to look for and what to avoid while shopping from other companies. HOWEVER, after the the deal was sealed THE SITUATION CHANGED. I made my car available for pick-up on August 28th for a Sept 3rd delivery (or as close to possible). My car wasn't even pickup until Sept 4th. It was delivered on Sept10th at 11:30 PM, A FULL WEEK LATE. The truck broke down two or three different times during the actual transport and his dispacther was VERY UNPROFESSIONAL when I did finally get a chance to speak to him about delivery of my car. I WILL NEVER USE A TRANSPORT COMPANY AGAIN as this process was too nerve-racking for myself and my family. I would prefer to pay a trusted friend the $650 I spent for these "professionals."

Damon, Im sorry you feel I let you down. I never misled you though. I did provide excellent service to you, always, as you mentioned in your review. The day you contacted me I advised you I would TRY to get the pick up and delivery dates that you prefer, but of course we can’t guarantee they would happen. You understood. Im surprised you do not remember that conversation, as I do. I was always honest about dates and that they are estimates and delays can happen. The pick up date did change after the carrier scheduled the pick up of your vehicle with us because his truck was having mechanical problems and was in the shop. I called to let you know of the delay as well. I confirmed your vehicle was picked up on Sept. 3rd at 4:24pm PST and was told it was picked up earlier that day! Your vehicle was stated in your order as available for pick up starting 08/28/09, so it took 7 days until it was picked up. I did advise at time of placing your order that a pick up USUALLY happens within 1-10 days. I told you that and it would have been sooner had the truck not had mechanical problems, which is a delay that was unforeseen. As stated in our Terms and Conditions: DAT does not agree to transport the vehicle on any particular motor carrier, nor in time for any particular event unless client agrees in writing to the extra cost involved with guaranteed pick-up or delivery times. DAT will not be responsible for any loss or damage created by an unavoidable delay. DAT provides you with an estimated pick up and estimated arrival date of your vehicle(s). However the carrier transporting the vehicle(s) is subject to delays due to weather, road conditions, mechanical problems, etc. There are absolutely no guarantees regarding delivery times and dates. DAT and the carrier will not be held responsible for car rental fees or any accommodation fees. As for delivery, I called the carrier 09/10/09 at 4:55pm and confirmed your vehicle was delivered on Tuesday 09/08/09. If that is not correct I was unaware because you did not answer your phone when I called you to check on delivery and that is what the carrier claimed to me yesterday. Either way, dates are estimates. So the vehicle was not LATE. You can’t expect a carrier to never have mechanical problems or any other kind of delays. We state in our Terms and Conditions we are not responsible for delays as shown above. Im sorry you feel the way you do though, but I never misled you and did explain this in detail when you called in for your quote! Thanks Damon!
