My first experience using an auto transport did not hurt too much. Amy w/ Domestic Auto Transport was knowledgeable and helpful. No problems with broker. The above rating was on their behalf. Now, regarding, the rest. The vehicle was scheduled to be picked up on Saturday, 10/25/08 and delivered on Tuesday, 10/28/08, but dispatcher for drivers called on Friday, 10/24/08 stating that vehicle was to be picked up that day. We were not given a different delivery date at the time of pickup. On Sunday night, 10/26/08, I was contacted by Anna, the dispatcher for the drivers, stating that the vehicle was ready to be delivered at that time. Since, this company was requiring CASH on delivery, the monies was not available until Monday. If they had bothered to tell us about the early delivery, on Friday night, then monies would have been obtained on Saturday morning from banking institution. I asked to be able to communicate with drivers myself, but was informed that dispatcher was the translater for the drivers. I went to the bank on Monday and then contacted dispatcher that I had monies and she set a time for delivery. My husband made a point to be home from work (Army) for this. 2 hours late my vehicle finally showed up. I know it actually showed up 2 days early but it was all of the miscommunication that bothered me. My husband is a former truck driver and we know how important committed times and dates are. On behalf of the drivers, they were very friendly and delivered my vehicle without any noticeable damage.
