Rather shady

Perhaps all brokers operate in the same fashion, I am not sure as I have only shipped one car. The major problem I had was that there were a lot of brokers trying to secure our business. I went with domestic and sealed the contract with a certain dollar amount. They called me, I believe the next day and offered a shipper that met my needs but at a higher price then what we agreed upon. I told the agent that we already agreed on the price and I was told that was just an estimate of the cost and that we could refuse the higher price offer and keep trying. I did not have time to wait. I thought we had agreed on a set price but I guess that was just to obligate us to use them. I ended up forking over the higher price as I needed to ensure my car would get shipped. The pick up went fine but there was almost no assistance from the broker. It seems they simply arranged the pickup and then left it to us to deal with the shippers. The drop off was on time but the driver tried to guilt trip us into giving him a tip. I told him that the higher price I paid was his tip. He claimed he never asked for a higher price. Then to top it off Domestic has the audacity to offer customers who give them 5 star service a chance to win their shipment payment back through a drawing. However the customer is only entered IF you give them a 5 star rating. SHAME ON YOU DOMESTIC!! I wonder if that is even legal as it skews the result in their favor!! I guess I won't be entered in their drawing. Finally, the only reason I am submitting this review is because Domestic will not leave me alone and they keep bombarding my email with requests to rate them with 5 star service. It will be interesting to see if this review is actually published. In all fairness though, as I stated in the beginning, perhaps all these brokers are the same.

Kimberly@Domesticautotransport.com 360-853-2814 CALL OR EMAIL ME ANYTIME FOR A FREE QUOTE Greg, Let me first start of by stating, we did not over charge you. Your original quote was 885, and we shipped your vehicle for 860. We did provide you with a 50 discount when you placed which took your original quote down to 835, so a carrier called in requesting 25.00 more dollars, and you accepted the carrier. You could have declined the carrier, but based on my notes from April of this year when you shipped your vehicle, you approved the carrier for the extra 25.00. As is states with all companies we are providing you with a quote. It is not a set price. Once a carrier calls, and you agree to the price, then it is a set price unless your vehicle is different than described or becomes an inoperable for some reason during transit such as a dead battery etc. I am also not sure what you mean by no assistance. Our job is to secure a carrier for you, put you and the carrier in contact with each other, and have your vehicle picked up and delivered. We are also here for you if there are any issues that need to be addressed. You placed your order on the 16th of April, your vehicle was picked up on the 19th of April and delivered the 1st, because you could only receive the vehicle between the 29th and the 2nd. So I am not sure how we deserve this zero star. We provided you the service that you needed. A delivery specification is not something guaranteed but we still found a carrier to accommodate this. As for the offer to win your shipment cost: yes we do offer customers a chance in a drawing, that is not illegal. They can provide any rating of review that they chose as you did, but only the 5 star reviews will be entered. And yes the review is visible to the public, because if people read this response they will see that maybe you are making a bigger deal over 25.00 then needed to be. We work very hard to provide 5 star service and in this case you were provided 5 star service. I have been with this company for almost 6 years and very rarely get bad reviews. Your vehicle was picked up in 4 days from the first date you placed your order, which is technically an expedited shipment, so you could have paid even higher but we actually saved you money at that time. Expedited shipping which is usually a pick up in 72 hours would have ran you 1510. You paid 860, so. I do want to apologize that you do not feel you were provided 5 star service, and you left us a poor review based on 25.00.
