Overall, my experience with DAT was a good one. I called on a Saturday and needed my car picked up the following Monday/Tuesday and they were able to accommodate my request (with an additional charge). I do have two complaints. First, my car was originally scheduled for delivery on Friday. My carrier was delayed, and delivery was rescheduled for Sunday. No problem, I know traveling across the country provides plenty of opportunity for delays. My problem came Sunday when I did not hear from the carrier at all about the delivery of my vehicle. I attempted, unsuccessfully, to contact both DAT (they are not available on Sundays) and the carrier (did not return MULTIPLE messages). I did not hear from either of them until after 12:00 EST on Monday. Very Frustrating. My other complaint would be the frustration of having to deal with a "broker" and a "carrier". I fully understand that DAT is a broker and not the actual carrier. That being said, I would like to have seen DAT be more involved with, and possibly more selective of, the carriers they choose to do business with. As the customer, I should not have to call the carrier in order to find out the status of the pick-up or delivery of my vehicle. That is why I contacted a company like DAT - to do the "leg work" that I did not have the time to do. Had I known that to be the case, I would have done more searching for a "carrier" and cut out the "broker" and saved $300. Also, I understand that they are based on the West Coast. However, realizing that there is a 3 hour time difference on the East Coast, I was disappointed that they were not available until after 9:30am or 10:00am EST most days for any questions or concerns I had about the pick-up or delivery of my vehicle. Maybe look into having someone available to answer questions, or at least emails, earlier in the morning (and on Sundays) for the people on the East Coast that rely on you for their vehicle shipping needs.

I do apologize that the carrier did not contact you on Sunday. As you did state we are closed on Sunday so I'm sorry that we were not available as well. Some carriers offices are closed on the weekends as well, but I would expect the driver to call you, but with that being said this carrier did burn himself from his radiator which is why there was the delay. As for the time discrepancy, yes we do open at 6 am Pacific time, 9 Eastern time. I do not actually start working until 7:30 Pacific time as well as Jocelyn, and based on your timeline response we got to your email as soon as we got in, within 30 minutes. I did leave you a message but you were flying I was told by the carrier, and they had told me that you were scheduled for delivery at 12:30 today Wisconsin time. I also emailed you at that time as well. Again I am sorry for the time difference but unfortunately that is out of our control. I do want to thank you again for trusting Domestic Auto Transport, and I hope you had a good flight.
