Kimberly is great; sub-contracted shippers not so much

Domestic Auto Transport is great, especially Kimberly. She'll take care of all your issues and fix any problem that comes up. However, Kimberly can only do so much. That's because the sub-contracted shippers hired by Domestic Auto Transport are less than ideal.

I unwisely prepaid my $1675 up front, thinking I'd get better service from the shippers. I was wrong. The shippers were still late, both cars were filthy with the interiors covered in grease, and they made me stand on the shoulder of Highway 440 in Raleigh, NC in order to complete the hand-off of my vehicle. There's more. One car had a dead battery when it arrived, and I had to immediately replace it for $250. Maybe it needed to be replaced all along, but I handed off the car with a fully functioning battery, and it was returned with a battery at 0% power availability.

My wife and I had just gotten married and moved from California to North Carolina after honeymooning in Hawaii. We arrived in Raleigh expecting our cars within a few days, in compliance with the 7-10 day shipping window we all agreed to. The shippers delivered the car on day 11, meaning I had to rent a car for a week in order to get my wife and I to work.
Kimberly convinced the sub-contracted shippers to refund me $50 to cover the costs of my rental car, but that never happened. That's because I had paid up front, and the driver wouldn't come out of pocket to cover the $50.

That's not all. Both cars arrived super filthy, like a mechanic with dirty hands, feet and clothing drove the car for a week and smeared grease all over the interior. I had to have the car detailed when I got it back.

So overall, Domestic has great customer service, but the shippers they work with need to be screened better.

Kimberly@Domesticautotransport.com 360-853-2814 CALL OR EMAIL FOR A FREE QUOTE ANYTIME! Cameron, Oh my goodness! I knew they were delayed and demanded that they give you a discount, but you did not tell me about the dead battery. I cannot believe they did not give you the discount. I would recommend leaving them a review as well as their customer as well. I am so sorry that they did not follow through. I wish I could have done more to help you. I cannot apologize enough.
