There are two parts to getting your auto transported: arranging for the job through a broker, like Domestic Auto Transport, and having your car actually shipped, which will be through a random shipping company found by the broker.

The good news was that we got a good price, and pickup was on time. The bad news: delivery was two days earlier than we had specified (we had a "no earlier than" date specified in our order, but the driver missed this on the form). That meant that our car was stored in a lot until we could come get it. We fortunately could lean on someone to drive us the 16 miles to the storage lot, but we didn't get the door-to-door service that was advertised. If we were willing to wait another six days, they would have delivered it to us, but that wasn't going to work for us. For some people, early delivery would be great, but for us it was a problem.

Our efforts to have Nikki help us were disappointing; she was out of the office when our problem occurred, and the only help we were given was the phone number of the shipping company to call ourselves. We basically got no support from Domestic Auto Transport - we had to take care of any problems ourselves. We only got an email acknowledgement from Nikki about the delivery of our vehicle at the drop-off point six days after the fact. So, no, we didn't get excellent customer service. But we got our car delivered at a good price, so we give them 3 stars.

nikki@domesticautotransport.com 360-853-2817 Terry, Thank you for leaving an honest review. I apologize that your shipment did not go as planned. I just want to make clear that we did not choose as you quoted, a random shipping company. Our company makes sure that we assign you to a licensed, bonded and insured carrier. When there is a problem with any transport we work as a team to help each and everyone of our customers. If i am unavailable my manager will be able to assist you. Again, if you wanted to speak with me directly my number above is always available. When your vehicle was dispatched i did specify your delivery date for no earlier then 3/2. Unfortunately this carrier arrived early, but was able to store your car until you arrived. This is why in our terms we specify that the dates are estimated. Also, if they are unable to deliver to your door it is usually 1-15 miles from your location. I am truly sorry that this was not a good experience for you. I personally would of gladly helped you if i would of had a voice mail or some sort of notification from you. When i asked you how everything went you said it was fine. Again, my apologies and i hope you have a better experience with your next shipment. Best, Nikki
