Jessica at Domestic Auto was very professional in all of our exchanges. I liked Domestic from the
start because of their friendliness and prompt replies to my inquiries. Although they explained to me at the start how their service works (submitting the order to a dispatch where truckers decide if they will pick up your car), I must admit that I was expecting a faster pickup and delivery. My initial quote was $930. After the car was not picked up for 6 days (north of Boston near major Interstate, for delivery to the Denver area) it was suggested that I either raise the price, or change the pickup to a location closer to Boston. I was also then informed that not that many trucks this time of year were making the drive from Boston to Denver. As this was not convenient to bring the car closer to Boston, I agreed to raise the price $100. Finally after several more days, I was told that a trucker would pick up for $1200, which was $300 more than the initial quote. Since now, nearly 10 days had passed, I agreed. My original quote suggested the delivery could be in as little as 5 days, it ended up being 10 days. So the total time from possible pickup to actual delivery was nearly 3 weeks. The only thing I might suggest in the future is to be more upfront about the possible delays in pickup and delivery, before taking the order. I probably would still have gone with Domestic, but it would have been easier in my planning to have known how uncertain the whole process is.

If you are looking for A+ customer service please contact Jessica at Domestic Auto Transport at 360-975-3194 or at jessica@domesticautotransport.com - Richard, I understand that this can be a very overwhelming process to get started especially if you are getting multiple quotes. With the number of phone calls you receive it is very easy to forget details of the process and what company told you what. However, I do want to remind you that I did tell you, as I tell every customer, that it may take between 1 to 10 business days just to find a carrier and that this is a quoted amount and carriers can counter offer to transport your vehicle. We did find a carrier within 3 days of when your available date. You refused this carrier because you felt his price was too high and you specifically said you were not in that much of a hurry to have the vehicle moved, and to please keep trying at the current quoted amount. As far as the suggestions to increase the price or move locations, it is my job to let you know of any options that will help to get your car moved. Yes, sometimes it can take longer than we anticipate if there are no trucks in the area. I was merely giving you information to utilize in the event that you may have wanted to create a back up plan to get your car moved quickly if it took us longer than expected to find a carrier due to the fact that there were no trucks going on the route you needed. After I gave you this information it was you that decided to add $100 to your quoted amount to see if that would help get the car moving. I did find you a carrier a few days later that was charging $100 less than the first carrier we found. You almost cancelled the order at that point because you said you were going to get the car a different way but then decided having it transported would be more convenient for you and the person you were going to have drive the car. I am sorry that we were unable to transport your vehicle at the lower amount. We do our best at finding a carrier for our customers at the quoted amount. In the end it is the carrier themselves that decide what they will charge and the vehicles they will transport.
