The car arrived on time and in perfect condition. That was the good news. The bad news was that I was told that the car would be picked up and delivered door to door. This was not true on either end of the trip. I had to travel to a remote location. More importantly, I was quoted a low price when the deal was consummated and then discovered no driver could be found at that price. The price had to be increased by $300 to get a driver. I didn't feel cheated. But I also didn't feel that I was given enough information to make an informed decision.

For Great Customer Service Contact Bill @ 360-975-3198 or bill@domesticautotransport.com . Hi Rick, I just want to take a moment a thank you for choosing Domestic Auto Transport to move your vehicle from New York to Washington state. It was extremely unfortunate you were caught in what we call the carriers bidding war to get what they want to move customers vehicles. When you placed your order with us, I took the time, just as I do with all my quotes, to look over central dispatch to see what vehicles of your same size and style were moving for in an enclosed carrier on this same route. Ultimately, we came to the price in which you agreed was fair. Most of the time carriers will agree to the price we provide to our customers. but the route and the demand for other vehicles needing moved can very quickly increase the rates carriers are accepting loads for. This happens because the other vehicles owners want their vehicle picked up first. I do my best to keep up with what carriers are charging on a day to day basis. This is a great example of why, "the lowest quote is not the best quote". Because even when the quote is priced correctly, as it was in this case, price quotes are not a guarantee. As for the travel to meet the carrier. There are times when it is impossible for a carrier to pick up a customers car right at their front door. Such as narrow streets, cul de sac's, residential road weight restrictions, trees with low hanging branches or the carrier's feel it just unsafe for other;s, his self, his truck and the other vehicle's he has on his truck.. It even states in our terms and condition, that at certain times, the carrier may request to the customer meet the carrier at a convenient location, such as a parking lot, to better load and secure a customers vehicle. Again Rick, I thank you for choosing us, and I am extremely happy your vehicle arrived safe and on time.
