When I bought a truck on Ebay, I thought shipping would be easy. I had purchased and sold several motorcycles on Ebay, and never had any problems with shipping. I would contact a shipper, get a quote, and have the bike shipped. I bought a custom chopper on Ebay that was coming from Flordia to Washington state, and from time of the order to the time I recieved it was 2.5 weeks, DOOR TO DOOR. I was unaware that the auto transport industry was ALOT different. I purchased a truck, and recieved several quotes. I used AAA discount auto and truck transporters in part because of their website, and believed that the shipping would be resonably fast based on a statement made in their website where it says their transportes need three days notice for pickup. After I was "sucked in" by one of their reps, I didn't hear anything about when the vehicle would be shipped after 15 days. except for 2 emails asking me if I still wanted to ship. I was perplexed and called her, she said the emails were a "computer error" and she had no idea AT ALL who would be picking up or delivering the truck or what the time frame would be. This all was after they had already charged my credit card an "administration fee". They basically came off to me like I was a pain because I wanted to know when I would be getting the truck. She told me NO SHIPPING COMPANY could give me an exact pickup and delivery date, which turned out to be COMPLETE BULL. I cancelled and went with DAS. I ordered my shipment from DAS today (December 21) and it will be picked up on December 23rd and GUARNTEED DELIVERY no more than 16 days from North Carolina to Washington, door to door. AAA DISCOUNT AUTO AND TRUCK TRANSPORTERS are a total nightmare, and they are full of B.S. USE DAS, they were only $200 more, unless of course you like to treated like o fool and like to be left in the dark.
