Overall Disappointment

Car was supposed to be picked up on Wednesday, 7/5 but was informed that afternoon that the driver would not pick up until Thursday 7/6 and would deliver 7/7. I was informed from the driver/dispatcher that they would deliver first thing on Friday - probably around 8:00 AM. And then nothing... no calls, no e-mails, no communication at all. I called Kim and they could not get in touch with the driver. Finally, 5 hours later and after taking the day off of work and rearranging my schedule, I find out from Kim that the truck had broken down the night before, she does not know where the car broke down, will be delivered on Monday without an explanation and the driver/dispatcher says that he had spoken to me about the issue- a blatant lie.

As I complained to Kim, the issue was not the truck breaking down but the total lack of communication. They need to be held responsible for the shippers they use and it was unprofessional and inexcusable not to call me.

Long story short, they guarantee the car on Sunday at 5:00 PM... of course it arrives at 8:30 and the driver just shrugs his shoulders and says "sorry."

I will take my business elsewhere.

We completly understand the fustrations of waiting on a truck driver but as explained the truck broke down in the middle of the night and the driver had 9 customers the next morning to contact. Unfortunatly trucks do break down and do the best they can to stay on schedule. We contacted the driver as soon as we were made aware of the situation Friday morning and delivery was rescheduled for Monday. The driver actually had it there by Sunday evening. We do e-mail our customers approximate pick up and delivery dates and include that these are only approximate, the driver will call when he's close enough to give a narrow time frame. Drivers are delayed and run ahead of schedule for several reasons, weather, traffic and mostly other customers they are working with to pick up and deliver vehicles. It amazes me that a driver will sit and wait 3-4 hours on a customer to leave work and consider it part of the job but a 3-4 hour delay to some customers is a crisis.
