At the last minute, I decided to try to get our 3rd car shipped for our move. I found DIY online and decided to give them a call. I must admit that I think this industry/service is largely a broken one. Beware that the company you're contacting is not likely to be directly providing the driver/carrier for the shipping. They're a management service that finds you a driver that's willing to meet your requirements. THAT SAID: DIY did awesome. I had about 36 hours to find a driver to pick up our car before we left, and DIY came through with a driver that met our goal. I don't know that they can always do that, but I was very impressed. There was ZERO haggling with the price, the price quoted by DIY was the price I paid. I've seen stories of other companies quoting a price initially and then when it comes time to ship there are over charges and other items that come up. Not DIY: Was a very simple process and if we move again, I'll likely be contacting them for assistance., although maybe with more notice this time!
