It all turned out well in the end

This was the first time I had a car shipped, so I was pretty nervous about the whole process. I had read reviews that said "don't use auto brokers", but I went ahead and made arrangements to have Crosslands Express Auto Transport have my car shipped from Colorado to North Carolina.

Matt D'Auria was my point of contact at Crosslands Express Auto Transport. Matt has excellent integrity, is a good communicator with both email and phone calls, and is an overall stand-up guy. With that said, he has a tough job because he has to coordinate the shipment of cars with a variety of carriers.

The carrier that took my car showed up two days late and then kept my car in a local lot over the weekend, which made me worry about the car even more. When I contacted the owner of the carrier he told me the car had left. When I contacted the driver he said "heck no, I won't be leaving for another two days". So this for me was a concern. Additionally, the price the carrier told me was higher than what Matt had quoted me. My only choice was to pay the additional money upon arrival and hope that Matt would do the right thing and reimburse me the difference.

In the end everything turned out OK. My car made it safely across the country in four days. It was two days late, but it was in great shape and didn't have any damage at all. The driver was excellent at communicating with me when I called him. And after the car arrived safely, Matt reimbursed me for the extra money I had to pay so that the quote ended up being exactly what I paid. Would I use Crosslands again? Yes, I would; however, I would have a much better idea going in that Matt can't control the whole process end-to-end, which is what I was hoping for. Thanks for transporting my car!
