Unable to contract trucker, poor communication

We scheduled auto pickup from Port Townsend WA 3-4 weeks in advance, and paid $100 deposit. On the scheduled pickup dates, noone showed up and calls to the company went unanswered. We were leaving at the end of the week and the day we were leaving a company rep finally called to say they could not do the transport for the contracted price because our location was remote. It was too late for us to reschedule, so had to cancel the entire contract and leave our car in WA while we moved to FL. Car still there in limbo!!! If they had told us sooner we may have arranged to bring the car to Seattle or a better pickup point. Now we are stuck! May have to fly back and drive cross country again!
