I believe that Cross Country will tell you anything to get the $200.00 deposit; which is their fee for making the sale; after the deposit everything becomes we will look into that and call you back; which never happens. So you call back and you’re told, NO ONE GOT BACK TO YOU, I'll look into that! I contracted Cross Country because I was assured by Beth Feldman that the transportation was DOOR TO DOOR with their own car carriers and I didn't need to have the car registered or insured because it is going door to door and they insured the car for $50,000.00. As it turns out the door to door delivery became point to point because the pick-up point was 1 1/2 miles from my home because the driver claims that he couldn’t load any closer; by the way on the back of the Bill of Lading, which you have to SIGN when the car is picked up it states in #13 " In order to affect pick up and delivery the customer agrees to MEET THE TRANSPORTER'S DRIVER AT ANY SPECIFIED TIME OR PLACE. NO EXCEPTIONS". And #16 "The customer agrees that the VEHICLE IS INSURED and their insurance has primary responsibility"; that means that there is no such thing as door to door service and no insurance is needed. Two lies and the two main reasons I went with Cross Country and they have their own car carriers, not true, I was scheduled twice for pick up with two different carriers the first Bullet Auto Transport, LLC, Fl. After three days of waiting for them, countless phone calls to them, and they always assuring me that they were on their way; on the third afternoon they tell me they can't pick up my car because then they will be over weight. Three of MY DAYS LOST, which means nothing to them? Also the Bill of Lading states, all dates and times are ESTIMATES, so they are covered for any time delays or lost days. The second carrier Blue Angels Express Inc, Ca is scheduled to pick up on a Monday and shows up on Thrusday the same scenario, numerous phone calls and promises four days later, picked up as explained above. The delivery was the best; Sunday night they call about 8:30 PM telling me they will be getting to me between 9:30 & 10:30 PM. The driver calls at 10:00 and said he has arrived and is five & half miles from my home. After several words back and forth about him getting closer to me, I'm told HERE OR NO WERE! With a car 5 1/2 miles from my home, with no registration and no insurance I had to have my car TOWED to my home. The reason this car transportation turned out to be such a nightmare is because of all the lies I was told before giving the $200.00 deposit and not being given the terms and conditions of the Bill of Lading, which has a exclusion for everything you can imagine, accept for being paid in CASH. If you choose any of the above three companies you will be giving yourself a nightmare. Good Luck A LIED TO CUSTOMER
