We contracted with CCAT to pick up or car on June 29, 2009 as we were moving to Alaska. The driver was late getting there and vey rude. The contract was for door to door service and payable by credit card. They charged a $350.00 fee before they even picked up my car. A week later I get an email from the company to call them. They had lost my paper work with the color and Vin number of my car and could not put it on the ship in Washington state. I sent them the information again and they cahrged my credit card $850.00 for that leg of the trip. I was told a different price for the last part of the trip and told COD in Fairbanks. I complained and refused to pay the $850.00 and asked to speak to the owner. Two days later they agree to honor the redit card payment, but they had to charge my card 3 times because they can not take a payment over $500.00 and the agreed to the original price, the catch was they had to send a check to the carrier in Alaska. They wanted me to sign a paper saying I would not cancel the credit card transcation. So I pay them on June 13, 2009. Then I get a call saying that they can not put my car on the ship because it has too much gas..$100.00 to take it to the BMW dealer to have some taken out. Then on June 20, 09 I call the carrier to find out where my car is. The dealer in Alaska will not pick up my car from the port because they have not been paid, even though CCAT has been. The carrier in Alaksa will not pick up my car and release it to me until the check clears because acording to them the have had checks from CCAT bounce on them in the past. So I had to wait to get my car 5 days longer for an out of state check to clear. To top it off they do not deliver door to door as promised so another $130.00 to have the car brought to the Airfore base we are at. CCAT's attitude is "oh well". We have shipped cars in the past and have never had a problem. These guy are horrible.
