This a portion of my complaint to the better business bureau and the florida attourny general.
This was door to door service. This was to be picked up on the 14th or 15th of February with 24 to 48 hours notice, this notice is listed on their website www.auto-move.com .A person named Natalie contacted me on 2-12-08 and said my vehicle would be picked up on 2-13-08.Late in the day on 2-13 I called Natalie and told her that no one had called to make arrangements to pick up the car, at this time she tells me they will give 6 to 12 hours notice and she is 99.9 percent sure my car will be picked up. It did not happen and I called Natalie again on 2-14-08 and she said she 100% guaranteed my car would be picked up, late in the day on the 14th around 1:30 pm I called her again and said we have had no call or notice and she proceeded to call the truck driver. He said he would call and we were next to be picked up. The 24 to 48 hour notice had went down to 6-12 hours and now it went down to 2 hours. The truck driver refused to pick up the car at the location contracted for saying the streets were too small, an alternate location with more than enough room was given but the driver refused again saying it was out of his way he was going to Oregon next. On 2-15-08 I called Natalie again and told her this story, she said the driver had to pick up at the location he insisted on over an hour and a ferry ride away from my door to door pick up and said there was nowhere closer. When I gave a location 15 minutes away Natalie checked with the dispatcher and said that location was fine. Natalie then said my vehicle would be picked up again that day the 15th, well late that day no pick up and when I called Natalie she said they had only one driver willing to pick up the car at that location and it would be Monday the 18th of February. As of 2:00 pm on the 18th I have no notice, I have called cross country and no one has been able to help me all day they have been in meetings.Today the 2oth of february there has still been no pick up.

Cross country motors will tell you their pick up dates on the agreement are estimates and they have seven days from the estimated pick up date to pick up the car. I agree, but once they call you and confirm they are going to pick up your car like they did me on the 12th of February that seven day time window no longer applies. It is no longer an estimated pick up date it is a confirmed date.
To sum it all up cross country has failed to pick up car as agreed:
1. It was not picked up door to door or an attempt to do so. They were given the address of the location on 2-5-08 which gave them 7 days to locate this address and see if it was a problem before the pick up date, they were able to quote a price for this address on 2-5-08.
2. Proper notice as stated on their web site was never given either 24-48 hours, was only called once with 2 hours notice once to meet a driver on the side of a hyway over 1 hour from the agreed upon location.
3. They assured me 4 different days this car was going to be picked up. These were not estimated days these were the company confirmed the driver was coming dates.
4. They have failed miserably to fulfill this agreement and every time they have been questioned about any part of this they have fallen back on we can not control the drivers or if and when they will pick up your car. Well they do not advertise we can not control anything, they advertise we are fast and reliable. Hardley so !
5. I have not received the service agreed upon and would like the 200.00 credited back to my account.

I would not let these people transport my garbage cans to the curb for me.
