Don't Use Crestline Auto Transport

I have been using Crestline Auto Transport on and off for five years. I have long wanted to write this review but now that I no longer use them out of 30+ vehicles I can honestly say I gave them MORE than enough chances. I'm a licensed dealer based in Dallas and have ran out of patience with them. Save yourself a lot of time, frustration, money and headache by NOT choosing them. Out of 30 or more deliveries I would say less than half of them went smoothly. We've had everything from missing shift knobs, missing mats, missing owner's manuals, undisclosed damage, ALWAYS a dead battery, multiple phone calls and fire drills per pick up and almost ALWAYS surprise deliveries when you don't know they are coming. On top of that, you are paying a premium for their service. They are very pricey, put a 25% surcharge on all real shipping costs for their non-existent, no-follow up, no accountability service. Immediately after I was done with them, I picked up the phone and found a 20% less expensive option with better service immediately. The owner Alan is very argumentative and will not take accountability on poor service. He does everything to avoid saying he is sorry and making the problem right. They must have a gold mine over there marking up the shipments 25% and never taking accountability for making it right. He clearly missed the class in charm and customer service. He'd rather make excuses and blame everyone but his own people. I've had issues with several of their customer service people just literally leaving me hanging on communicating when a delivery is coming, and the driver calls me after hours while I'm at home eating dinner saying they are coming in the next couple of hours and it's dark! When you bring to their attention they messed up you typically get a response like "call me in the office" and NEVER get a call directly from them. NEVER get an apology or a discount or a comped/free delivery because they messed up. NEVER. I've had MANY deliveries delivering $10,000 vehicles to people who don't even work for my dealership and their driver who you are paying a premium for Crestline Auto Transport to manage, just decided he wanted to dump the vehicle at your location and have any old person sign for it. Sometimes they don't even get a signature! We've had so many issues. I specifically type up instructions each time on their online portal telling them to call me an hour before delivery and they never do. I specifically tell them to look for extra keys, shift knob, floor mats and more items yet they rarely get to me and I have to track them down. The final straw was when the owner basically said after ALL the MISTAKES he and his company made over the past five years and 30+ cars they have moved for me that he would finally step up and pay for some missing items and had the nerve to ask me for receipts then question if I really got the items or not. I had it out with the owner and we went our separate ways. If I made a list of time and money and missing items they have cost me it would be in multiple thousands. Don't use Crestline Auto Transport. They are terrible! Here's the typical response you get from the owner. Call me I'm not texting you. And you are paying a PREMIUM for their service? Not me. I'm done with Crestline.
