10 percent rule

I selected this company because of the reviews and low quote. I was told that ninety percent of all vehicles would be picked up within seven days of the availability date. Turns out that my truck fell in the ten percent that were not picked up with-in that time. Make sure you get names of who you talk to and try to keep correspondences to email that way you have a copy of who said what. I was told that the size of my truck would be no problem only to be told later that there would be an additional cost of $150.00 because of the size. I made my truck available 10 days before I was scheduled to leave but that was not enough. I had to leave the truck with a friend and 35 days later it was picked up. Every time I called to get an update I was greeted with a total lack of concern with a "we are still looking for a carrier” When I asked if I should look into another carrier I got the same lack of concern and a "do what you have to do" attitude. I was not contacted by them when a carrier was obtained. I was called by carrier stating that he was ready to pick up the truck that day. Lucky for me that my friend was available or who knows what would have happened. Once the truck was picked up things were fine. The carrier kept in constant contact and gave me updated information regarding his travel time. We have three vehicles so the delay did not put us in a bind but if you are looking for a company to ship you vehicle in a timely manner I would pay the extra money for a company that can guarantee a delivery date.

Alfred is not completelly honest here, or maybe not honest at all. We never change the price unless the customer lied about the size of the vehicle when he requested a quote, which was the case here. This truck ended up being over 7 feet tall and in most cases we would not even get involved transporting it. We had to work very hard to get it scheduled and the reason he did not cancel with us is because everyone else wanted double what we were charging him. I guess this is some peoples' thank you note for saving him at least $1000.
