In my case, I contacted Dependable Auto Movers that I saw advertised on the internet. My contact person was Kim. Kim was very professional and their quote was very fair. Dependable Auto Movers is a contractor or middleman and they found a private guy with a car transport trailer to do the job. That guy charges $150.00 extra for non running cars which mine was. So I said fine and agreed to pay that amount figuring he would send a carrier w/a wench. He did not. The guy I bought the car from had to load the car with a forklift on to his trailer. My mechanic and I had to unload the car w/a chain and his pickup. I assumed the driver would have accepted less cash than I owed upon arrival but he did not. I had to pay the full amount.
