I contracted this vehicle movement approximately 30 days before the scheduled pick up time.
I was assured that the vehicle will be picked up on time.
One week before the pickup date I called again and was assured that the vehicle will be picked up on time.
The day of the pickup the transport driver never showed up.
This was a Monday.
I contacted Continental and they gave me the phone number of the sub-contract carrier.
I was told that Continental is not a contractor to other agencies.
This is the first lie.
I called the sub-contract carrier but kept getting an answering machine.
The next day I called Continental and they gave me another phone number for the sub-contractor.
I reached the sub-contractor named Jim and explained the urgency of this matter.
This is a time-sensitive delivery.
He explained that he will be able to pick up the vehicle the following Wednesday.
I wasted the Tuesday and Wednesday staying at home.
This is not good customer service.
Wednesday I called Jim and he said he will pick up the car in the afternoon.
He did not show up.
Wednesday night he called me and told me he was held up by "personal business".
Tuesday he came and picked up the car.
He reasurred me that it will be in California by the following Monday.
As of this date [Friday, June 12] the vehicle has not arrived.
Last that I knew the transport was in New Mexico.
I have called Continental many times but never got back a return call.
This is horrible customer service.
I have called Jim and he is not answering my calls.
The people who were receiving the car are highly upset.
I bear the brunt of their anger.
I will never recommend this company to anyone else.
I will never recommend Burch's Auto Transport out of Thornton Colorado to anyone else.
Be very careful whom you deal with and make sure to read the "fine print" on any contract.
The sub-contractor's terms are very different from Continental's.
This I feel is a reasonable matter to bring to civil court.

I apologize for you experience with Continental. I can assure you we made all arrangements possible to make this happen for you but we could not follow through. I also take responsibility for the driver which did not do his part in handling the matter. At this point we are everything possible but we are really at the mercy of the driver.
