Never again will I use Continental Auto Movers.

I shopped around looking for a company to move a vehicle for my employer and Continental quoted me the best price and quickest time frame for the relocation.
A red flag should have gone up when I saw the copy of the contract they faxed to me for approval. Under the heading for "running condition" it was marked yes, after I had told them several times that the vehicle was not operational (it was an electric truck that was coming to us to have its batteries installed). Danny, my sales rep told me to simply cross out the word "yes" and fill in the word "no" and fax the document back.
The driver who was contracted for the relocation was given the wrong address for pick up and had to research the correct address on his own. He found out upon arrival at the pick up location that the vehicle was not running and would have to be winched onto his delivery truck.
Not only was he given the wrong address for pick up, he was given an incomplete address for delivery (simply a street number and the word "South" - there is no South street in town). We are in a very small town so after wandering for 45 minutes he finally found us.
After explaining all he had to go through to find us he asked that we pay him $225 instead of paying the balance of $175, which we did.
I attempted to contact Danny at Continental to express my dissatisfaction with how the relocation was handled and to ask to be reimbursed for the $50 difference in final cost. I left two phone messages that were never returned and sent two emails that came back to me as being undeliverable (code 550: administrative prohibition). It was as if they packed up their offices and vanished.
I contacted our credit card company to open a dispute claim for the entire deposit amount of $175. This has since been resolved satisfactorily and I will never use Continental Auto Movers to relocate a vehicle, nor would I recommend them to anyone.

Kimber, This was a transaction with mistakes which never should have occurred. I confirmed recently that the $50 was credited back to you already so if you haven't seen that in your statement you should see it very shortly. Although you had a bad experience with this particular rep I assure you that he will not make this error with any customer in the future. In return the driver did have very positive feedback showing that you were one of our most patient and understanding customers yet. Please give us a call if there is anything more we can do to make this issue right.
