Great service at a GREAT price

I learned a lot about the transportation service business, having to ship my car. What most will tell you is a STORY. They will tell you horror stories about their competitors. They will tell you how time is of the essence and that there is no way you can ship your car for the price you want. They will tell you that they have a driver NOW at your location and that you must act fast.

What they do NOT tell you is that your transport service request gets put into a nation wide data base at a price (it may be your price or an INFLATED transport company price), where the drivers have access to the listings and can choose your car for their load if it is on their route, and often will negotiate the price with the broker. The broker, (car transport companies on the net) get paid a fee for booking, usually 150 dollars, which is included in the total price. Some brokers make much much more, but the drivers all charge about the same. In other words, if the driver quotes 700 dollars the Broker may give you a quote of 850 or maybe 950, depending upon how much he is trying to make on YOU. ALWAYS ASK how much the brokerage fee is and the driver fee and NEVER, give out a charge card until you have settled in on the price. The charge card is for the brokerage fee, usually.

Coastal Car Transport was the ONLY company that cut to the chase, and didn't make me feel like I was buying a used car from a shady use car salesman. They were honest, straight forward and were the ONLY company that said they thought they could book my transport needs at the price I was willing to pay. The rest (over 15 other companies) tried to convince me to pay from 200 to 600 dollars more for my transport.

Thank you Henry, for being honest. My car was picked up within an hour of booking. The car was delivered to its destination without incident. I rate this company an A++ !!
