I contacted Carolyn on May 30. She said, since they contact reliable carriers directly, they could probably pick up the car in a couple of days, so I told her to go for it. I called on June 1 to get the status. No reponse to my phone message. I left another message the next day. Once again, no response. I did get a call on June 3, at 6:45 AM. Carolyn said there were two carriers in the area and one would pick up the car in a couple of hours, and I gave her my credit card number. My wife canceled a morning appointment to wait at home for the truck to arrive. Early afternoon, I called Carolyn again. She apologized with some excuse, but said the other carrier would be at the house that afternoon. No trucker arrived that day, and that was the last time Carolyn responded to my myriad phone messages.

I left messages on Friday, June 4 and Monday June 7 with no response. Carolyn was so unresponsive, and she had not sent me any contract, that I decided to find another carrier. I did find another carrier. I dropped the car off at their terminal in Reno on June 8, and the car was delivered in New Jersey on June 14. This company washed the outside and vacumed the inside before my daughter picked up the car. Get in touch with me if you're interested in the name of this other auto shipping company.

In addition, on Friday June 4, Carolyn actually charged my credit card $100!! With the service, lor lack thereof provided by Carolyn, I could not believe she would charge me. I left several messages requesting that they should refund my $100. Once again and not the least bit surprising, they did not respond to my phone calls nor to my email.

I've informed my credit card company that the charge was invalid and it will likely be removed.

The next report by Lois describes a her nightmare dealing with Classic Auto Express. My interaction was pretty miserable also. How can any auto moving company not have a person answering telephones? Their Caller ID feature must be utilized quite often.
