I purchased a 1983 Monte Carlo SS from a gentleman in Illinois via the Internet. I had originally planned to go and get the car and transport it back to Texas. But, do to the weather (mid Feb 2010), travel costs and total driving I figured it would be cheaper ton have it transported.

Submitting a quote request via the Internet I received at least 12 quotes ranging from $400 to over $800 for a standard pick up and delivery. Knowing how the transporting system works makes the decision a bit easier. 99% of the quotes come from brokers that either have contract transportation companies or post the order on the internet. The broker takes their fee off the top and the rest goes to the driver, usually in cash or money order. So, obviously low bids will be the last ones to be picked and take the longest to deliver. Make sure that you get "door to door" service (1 driver, 1 transporter) and the drivers name and phone number. You also need to make sure that you CC is not charged until the car is on the transporter.

Classic Auto Express met or exceeded all of the above requirements. All my phone calls and Emails were answered with minimal delay. Classic Auto Express screens their drivers and/or transport companies to ensure that you get what you pay for. They provided me with all the pertain info on the driver and transport company. The driver answered all my calls and kept me informed of his progress. This was all part of Classic Auto Express's service.

Bottom line -The price was inline with the other 5 star companies, customer service was excellent and YES I use them again.
