Horrendous Service: Deceitful, Untrustworthy, Undependable, Not to be relied upon

The company known as Caviness Auto Carriers gave me a date of when my vehicle was going to be shipped. The date it was first available to be picked up was December 15, 2007. I made these arrangements on the 4th of December when they charged me $130.00 dollars. The total amount for the service was to be $800.00 dollars. They gave me a quote number and that number is 23560-PN. The problems started on the 12th of December when I wrote them an email asking which day the vehicle was going to be shipped. I never heard back from them. On the 17th I called the company trying to find out any information about when the vehicle was going to be shipped. I left many messages and I never heard back from them. I disputed the issue with my credit card company and I let Caviness know that I would be doing business elsewhere. That is when they finally responded to me on 18th of December saying that they were going to credit me $80.00 dollars. The only type of response this company will give anyone is through the Internet. Also the only time that they were gracious enough to respond back was when I told them that there service was no longer needed and that I was expecting a refund. They sent me an email within five minutes.

James Brooks the frist date that your car came ready for shipping was yesterday 12/15/2007 we never commit to a date. The haulers can not do that they traviel alot of miles a day and have many customers per trip also port of entry in each state and that is not even talking about traffic.And you were told that when placeing your order that there is never any guarantee's on dates. And that is also stated in the Terms and Conditions page.#2 And we keep track of all email and phone calls and you were talked to everyday from the time you placed your order on 12/4/2007 also there were emails.And also # 11 states there is no refund after 72 hours after we start the search to locate a hauler. And you were emailed telling you we were going to refund 80.00 of your money any way. We work had to try and help everyone that places there orders with us and we have been in the trucking busness over 40 years so I gress we have been doing something right. Thank You
