Car Transport Express failed to pick up my 1966 Ford Mustang in Albuquerque, NM on Sept.2nd or 3rd, 2010. I paid $100 deposit, which is now in dispute because the company refuses to refund my deposit. They did not honor the dates that they promised (I have copies of emails from John Salas, employee of Car Transport Express) stating that the Mustang would be picked up on these dates. I even had to pay an extra $70 for them to promise me that they would pick it up on these dates. John also said that they use their own trucks & DO NOT use other transporters. On Sept.10 I had a driver from a different company requesting an address to pick up the vehicle in the next 3 days & that he was coming from Texas & the driver did not work for Car Transport Express & was a subcontractor for them. I specially asked John Salas about the 3rd party & subcontractors used. He clearly told me that they DO NOT use 3rd party or subs & only use their own trucks, assuring me that my vehicle will not be moved from truck to truck. I contacted Car Transport Express to ask for my refund & was told that they attempted to pick up the vehicle even though they acknowledge that they did not meet the 2 day window I had to release the vehicle. Instead of giving me my refund, they want to pick up the vehicle & charge me the full amount??? Why would I trust a company that lied on multiple accounts & is not reliable or honors there word?
